Left-wing violent criminals are declaring war on Tesla and threatening a wave of attacks on electric cars
After arson attacks on Tesla cars and charging stations in Berlin, the police are investigating crimes “motivated by left-wing politics”. The background is a letter of confession in which the perpetrators harshly demand the scene: “Let Teslas go up in flames everywhere!”
The Berlin police recently had to deal with two crimes that actually fall into the category of “capital folklore”. Because such insane crimes are the order of the day in the metropolis.
On February 7th, unknown people torched two cars in Rummelsburg, a district in the Lichtenberg district. Shortly before 2 a.m., the cowardly detonators struck, and the fire department was unable to prevent “the two vehicles from completely burning out ,” the police report later said.
Just one day later, two charging stations for electric cars went up in flames on Vulkanstrasse, also in Lichtenberg. The incident seemed so ordinary to the police that it wasn’t even worth a press release.
Arson attacks on Teslas in Berlin – state security investigates
Today the assessment is completely different.
When asked by FOCUS online, a police spokeswoman confirmed that “the current crimes are believed to be an act motivated by left-wing politics”. Corresponding investigations are being carried out by the “Police State Security in the Berlin State Criminal Police Office”.
Background to the changed perspective of the prosecutors:
On the afternoon of February 8, 2024, an anonymous letter of responsibility appeared on the website “indymedia,” which serves as a platform for violent left-wing extremists, among other things. In it, the authors outed themselves as the proud perpetrators of the two arson attacks and explained: “We think that Tesla is an ideal target for our attacks.”

The left-wing violent criminals list five reasons.
- “Several armies use Tesla’s Starlink satellite system in their wars. Also Israel in Gaza. Ukraine too.” Tesla’s Starlink infrastructure is “an important military player.” The logical consequence: “Attacks on Tesla can be a sign anywhere: against any war!”
- Tesla is a “symbol of ‘green capitalism'”, which in reality is “anything but green”. Quote from the confession letter: “The lithium batteries come from toxic mines in Chile and devour other rare metals, which means misery and destruction for the mining areas.” The writers’ conclusion: “’Green capitalism’ stands for colonialism and land theft!”
- “Tesla wants to further expand its Gigafactory in Grünheide near Berlin. We want to defend ourselves against this. We don’t want any more Teslas on the roads!” the text says. The Gigafactory is known for its “extreme exploitation conditions”. “In addition, the factory contaminates the groundwater and uses huge amounts of the already scarce resource for its products.”
- “Tesla is militarizing our streets. Their cars are equipped with high-resolution cameras.” In “guard mode,” the cars would film “everything and everyone.” “Be sure to make yourself unrecognizable during actions.”
- Last reason in the list justifying attacks on the electric car manufacturer: “Elon Musk is an asshole!”
Call to scene: “Let Teslas burst into flames everywhere!”
The left-wing radicals are blatantly calling for violent attacks on Tesla cars. It is “great” when you let the air out of the tires of “big cars”. “Even better: set Teslas on fire everywhere!”
Finally the call to the scene: “A few grill lighters and spring can begin!”
The Berlin police are currently “unable to identify an increased risk to the detriment of Tesla,” the spokeswoman told FOCUS online. However, the current fire attacks were not the first attacks on Tesla cars.
In September 2023, unknown persons – presumably from the left-wing extremist camp – set fire to 15 Teslas in a fenced-in parking area at a Tesla center in Frankfurt am Main. Damage: at least 500,000 euros. State security is also investigating here.

Attacks on cars are booming in the German capital. Also on “indymedia” at the end of December, an anonymous author celebrated that in 2023 “the tires of over 1,000 SUVs would be flattened” in Berlin. “At the end of the year, we added a little extra last night and lowered 50 gas guzzlers. Including expensive ones SUVs and Porsches .”
The letter states, “SUVs and luxury cars pollute the air we breathe, block our roads, and cause displacement and death because of their excessive CO2 emissions.”
Conclusion: “Against this background, we find it pleasing that more SUVs were destroyed in Berlin in 2023 than ever before.”
Left-wing climate extremists announce “further actions”.
And the “street fight” of the left-wing climate extremists obviously continues: On February 14, 2024, a new letter of responsibility appeared on “indymedia”.
“Last night, unknown activists let the air out of the tires of around 100 SUVs.” And again the reference to the “devastating climate impact of cars that are far too big, too heavy and too powerful.”
But electric vehicles are also a thorn in the side of the perpetrators – because they “release more than twice as many greenhouse gases during production as conventional cars.”
Their actions are also about “stimulating a rethink. Away from individual transport and towards a mobility transition”. Finally, the announcement that the first wave of flattening this year was not the last – but only “the start of further actions of this kind”.
